Raymond Teaster, PE, PMP
Raymond Teaster, PE, PMP
A Professional Engineer and Project Manager with over 30 years of experience, Raymond has successfully executed automation projects of all sizes and in most industries. Raymond joined Brillig Systems in 2004 and became the owner 2019. Raymond has successfully delivered pharmaceutical and biotech automation projects for some of the industry’s leaders. In addition to pharmaceutical and biotech, Raymond has assisted clients in the chemicals, semiconductor, foods, plastics and textile industries worldwide. Raymond has a Chemical Engineering degree from Clemson University and is a member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), the International Society of Automation (ISA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Courtenay Knox
Courtenay Knox
Courtenay has over 20 years of experience in automated systems engineering and design including project management, system design and programming, facility checkout and startup and pharmaceutical/biotechnology facility validation. Courtenay joined Brillig Systems in 2007. Courtenay has a wide range of experience with a variety of process control systems including both PLC and DCS based systems. Courtenay has specialized experience in biotechnology bioreactor control, clean-in-place systems and pharmaceutical validation. Courtenay has executed projects in a variety of industries including: Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Chemicals, Consumer Products and Automotive. Courtenay has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Clemson University.
Gary Gray
Gary Gray
As an automation engineer and project manager, Gary has extensive experience designing and implementing automation systems in a wide array of industries. For over 35 years Gary has successfully executed process automation projects of all sizes in the pharmaceutical, chemical, oil & gas and food industries. Gary has a broad knowledge of project management and process automation developed from engineering projects, startup activities and working in plant production environments. Gary holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville.
Paul Brandenburg, CPIM
Paul Brandenburg, CPIM
Paul is a hands-on information technology leader with over thirty years of experience defining and executing diverse implementation programs and bringing that experience to team and individual development. With deep business and technical skills in supply chain management and organizational change management; including the complex interactions between automation and information technology systems, he brings strong project leadership skills with a special ability for orchestrating teams to achieve goals. Paul is APICS CPIM certified and an award-winning speaker. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from Butler University.
David Adler, PE, CAP
David Adler, PE, CAP
With over thirty years of experience as a process control engineer, Dave has been a leader of site automation teams and a corporate automation consultant at a major pharmaceutical firm. Dave has instructed and coordinated numerous internal training classes including automation project management and process control theory. Having managed numerous complex engineering projects and led diverse technical groups, he has been the corporate go-to guy when projects were behind schedule or over budget. Dave is a Professional Engineer and Certified Automation Professional. He is a published author in his field and chairman of the Pharmaceutical Automation Roundtable. Dave has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University where he is also an engineering recruiting captain. Dave is currently on ISA’s Executive Board and is serving as the Vice President of Publications.

With more than 20 years of experience, Andy is a skilled leader with an expansive background in multiple industries, including: Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Medical Device, Clinical Research, Financial and Oil & Gas. Andy roles include Project Manager, IT Manager, Validation Manager, Technical Writer and Software Quality Assurance Manager. Andy has Bachelors degrees in Chemistry and English from Valparaiso University.
Stephen Brown, PE
Stephen Brown, PE
Stephen is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of automation, instrumentation and functional safety experience. Stephen’s experience includes the design and execution of control systems projects for clients in the Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aviation, and Electronics industries. Stephen has extensive experience in Safety Requirements specification, instrumentation specification and PLC / SCADA / HMI programming across multiple platforms. Stephen has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from The Citadel.
